The ASIN Center team recently embarked on a benchmarking activity in Guimaras, immersing ourselves in the rich tradition of tultul (artisan salt) making. Through this experience, we witnessed how science and tradition can work hand in hand to preserve cultural heritage and uplift local industries.
At the same time, our Asin Caravan continues to reach out and empower salt-making communities, sharing best practices, food safety standards, and the latest research from the Accelerating Salt Research and Innovation Center (ASIN Center) under the DOST NICER Program. Together, we are building a more resilient and sustainable salt industry for the Philippines.
